Raised in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies by a pack of wild squirrels*, Darren Calvert rose from his humble beginnings to graduate from the University of Alberta with a degree in Industrial Design.  He now works full time for Art Attack, an Edmonton company specializing in creating custom attractions, signs, props, and murals for the amusement industry.

He spends his spare time riding his mountain bike, reading comics, playing video games, watching movies, and working on freelance illustrations.  Some of his former clients include: Mattel Toys, Green Ronin Publishing, Kobold Quarterly Magazine, SEE Magazine, White Wolf Games, Alderac Entertainment, Fantasy Flight Games, and Wizard's Comics & Collectibles.
